Mess

Mess is a very intimate track. It was initially written about anxiety and then expanded to other mental health issues such as depression and bipolar aswell. It comes from the view point of three different characters; 'she', 'he' and 'I' to show it can affect many people. It is conveying the feelings faced when having a low point, panic attack etc and how out of control you can feel. I'm hoping this will help raise awareness of mental health and comfort those faced with the struggles in knowing they are not alone. This is for the ones who need it.

She always watched the flames,

They stopped her going mad,

But the fire always burned too close,

So then she dropped the match.


She’s full up with feelings but there’s no room in her head.
She closes her eyes, she turns to the sky and says;


Can you hear me now?
My voice is fading, my voice is fading.

Take off this skin,
My body’s aching, my body’s aching

I wanna get out of inside,

Cos im a mess is that alright?

Is that alright?

He strings the words along
,
Cuts them up so they don’t hurt
.
When the mist and haze and the storm fades,

It's still all a blur,

And he’s tired of aching his heart and breaking his head
.
He turns out the lights and looks outside and says.

Can you hear me now?
